Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking an experienced highly technical individual to be part of the FPL Power Generation
team responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the large scale universal solar facilities inside the
state of Florida. This position will report to a Solar & Storage West Engineering Leader, under the Power
Generation Team, and will normally work out of the Arcadia area with occasional travel to other locations (for
example, Fort Myers / Manatee) within the state of Florida. Under limited guidance, the individual will perform a
variety of routine tasks, which provide experience and familiarity with Engineering staff, methods, practices, and
programs after which may independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and
procedures while using judgment when making adaptions and modifications. Engineers on the FPL solar team

can spend a significant amount of time in the field troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of our solar
facilities. Engineer should be highly motivated with a strong bias for action and capable of working
independently as well as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Job Overview
Employees in this role apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of
assignments and related fields. Individuals will use advanced techniques and modification and extension of
theories, precepts, and practices.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, and substantial
adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Devises new solutions to problems encountered
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
