This is the first of two journal entries used to demonstrate the difference
between a distribution and an assessment. While both distributions and
assessments are periodic allocations, they are quite different – specifically, the
original identities of the costs are not important to the receiver.
Enter Document date today, Currency/rate USD, Account 7701##, choose Today USD

Debit for D/C, Amount in doc curr. $500, and Cost Center A020. Debit $500

On the next line enter Account 1011##, choose Credit for D/C, and $500 1011##

Use the button to see if the postings are correct. Then, click on
to save your journal entry.
