ELEMENTARY AWARDS PROGRAM
Today, Dec. 6, in the gym @ 1:00pm.
**SECRET SANTA SHOP: Today, Dec. 6 through Thurs, Dec. 9, the Secret Santa Shop is coming to FCS
for grades K-5. It will be in room 1023 in the 1000 (middle school) building. The Secret Santa Shop gives students
the opportunity to secretly buy gifts for family & friends. It is a fundraiser for the 4th Grade St. Augustine trip. The
schedule is as follows:
Mon. Dec. 6- Browsing day - a time will be assigned to each class. No purchasing!
Tues, Dec. 7- KG & 1st grades may visit & purchase items.
Wed, Dec. 8- 2nd & 3rd grades may visit & purchase items
Thurs, Dec. 9- 4th & 5th grades may visit & purchase
Thank you in advance for your participation.
**SANTA IS COMING: Fri, Dec. 10, elementary students may have a digital quality photo taken with Santa.
The cost is $5 for one picture or $8 for two. Photos must be paid for when taken & will be delivered a few days later.
Students may order more than one & use as a gift. Pictures will be taken in the library from 9:00am-12:00 noon.
**GCCC REGISTRATION: Students who wish to dual enroll must be 10th grade or higher with a minimum of
a 3.0 GPA. Some courses require minimum scores on the CPT Test. Students may call guidance for an
appointment or drop by Ms. Buffkin’s office for an application. Courses are listed online on the GCCC
website under class schedules.
Environmental Science (EVR 1001) & Psychology (PSY 2004) will be offered on Mondays &
Wednesdays @ FCS from 5:00-6:15pm. Classes will begin Jan. 5. FCS students sign up in Guidance.
The classes are also open to adults who may sign up at the Gulf Franklin Center or call, 227-9670 ext. 5.

**2011 HEALTH INSURANCE ENROLLMENT SESSIONS: All benefit receiving employees need
to attend one of the enrollment sessions on Dec. 13 or 14. Employees will have the opportunity to
have the BCBS Health Savings Plan explained & to enroll in the district plan. Signup with Rosa

** ”Parental Survival Skills” presented by Mark Keith. Thurs, Dec. 9, 5:30-7:00pm at the FCS
Media Center. Sponsored by FDLRS PAEC in conjunction with Franklin County School District. Explore the
family dynamics of having a child with “Special Needs” and look at the impacts that can occur on the social &

Franklin County Learning Center (the old Brown Elementary).
