Date: November 11th (first) Level: Second grade, secondary

Skill: Reading and writing
Expected Outcomes: Students are able to activate their background knowledge and recognize the
passive voice.
Resources: White board, pictures depicting famous people. Cards made by me. A hand out
prepared by me (matching 2 parts of a sentence)

Introduction 5 min Greetings

Students are introduced the aim of the class

Core of the class

Pre-stage 8 min Students are remembered how to make the
passive voice and the parts in the sentence (object,
verb and subject)
Students are explain the activity to be done

While-stage 20 min Pictures depicting different famous people are

shown to them.
Students have to pick up a card which has written
something regarding the one person shown in the
picture. For example: “Thriller” was written by
him, and then they have to write on the board,
what was written on the card.

Post-Stage 10 min The sentences written on the board are going to be

erased and the hand out, will be given to them. In
the hand out the students will have to read the
sentences and write next to them to which of the
famous people the sentence belongs.

Closing 2 min Students are asked to give the hand out back with
their answers.
Students are remembered the contents learnt in
the class
Goodbye.
