Salarium derives its name from the Latin word for “salary,” “soldier,” and “salt,” which all have the same root word:
“sala.” In ancient Rome, soldiers were paid their salaries in salt, which at the time, was valued more than gold.

Salarium was born out of the need for a
cutting-edge time and payroll solution, which
can completely eliminate the manual process
in all aspects of payroll.
Our founder, Judah Z. Hirsch, has been in
the payroll outsourcing field for many years,
establishing and running one of the leading
professional service firms in Manila, Philippines.
Salarium was created to remove or minimize the
risk involved in payroll generation, focusing its
goal on the automation of the entire process.
Since its inception, Salarium has become one
of the most prominent Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) providers operating in the country, offering
companies a single solution to resolve a majority
of the issues commonly encountered.

Watching his team of accountants run payroll
for some of the largest companies in the country
always troubled him. A lot of manual work was
so ingrained in the service, which always
presented a certain level of risk.
Since 2013, we have helped over 500 companies
and thousands of employees. We have also added
several services to complement our
core software which allowed Human Resource
departments recognize its value.
