There are many things in life

That we do for no reason

I believe it’s a human defect

Found in each of us

But they pay no mind

It’s a part of us they say

It’s what makes us human

Making mistakes,

Left and right

Trying to fix whatever was broken

And if irreparable

Set aside

So we are left

With scraps of

Pieces wanting to be fixed

Pleading

Asking for someone

To give them the attention

They desperately need

“Please save us.”

Their cries grow

Desperate as each day passes

But rarely does anyone listen

Preoccupied

They have no time

To pay mind

To what can never be fixed
