The Halamanan Festival is celebrated in Guiginto , Bulacan every 23rd of January to

celebrate their love of plants, flowers and trees, which provide them a means of livelihood.

The town of Guiguinto is well-known for its plant nurseries, which provide people with a
unique livelihood much appreciated not just throughout the province but also by city
dwellers who yearn for their spot of greenery. The townsfolk thus celebrate the
Halamanan festival in January to coincide with the feast of its town patron San Ildefonso.

The Carabao Festival


Begining May 14th, the people of Pulilan in Bulacan Province, San Isidro in Nueva Ecija Province, and Angono in Rizal
Province celebrate for two days.

On the first day, farmers pay tribute to water buffalos, known as carabaos. These animals are very important for farmers
because they help till the land. Farmers brush their carabaos' skin until it is sleek and shiny. Then the carabaos are
decorated with ribbons and attached to carts. In the afternoon, farmers lead their carabaos to the church square to be part
of the procession. At the church, the carabaos kneel for their blessings. On the second day, the carabaos compete in a
friendly race.

Singkaban Festival is an annual provincial event of Bulacan where Bulakenyo culture and arts are
featured in a week-long celebration. It showcases the traditional arts of the literary form “Balagtasan,”folk
dances, and traditional songs known as “kundiman.”

The main focus though, is on the singkaban, a Bulakenyo art of creating an entrance arch and other
decorative materials mainly from bamboo.

Minasa Festival is celebrated every January as they also commemorate the feast day of Sto. Niño (The Holy Child).

angel festival

A colorful celebration of the feast day of Archangel St. Rafael, highlighted by a parade, and
streetdancing participated by school children in San Rafael, wearing different versions of angel costumes.

Buntal Hat Festival


This festival is celebrated in Baliuag, Bulacan. The 10-day festival is highlighted by a job fair, painting contest, concerts,
buntal hat Santacruzan, street dancing, search for Lakambini ng Baliuag, and exhibits of products made from woven
buntal fibers.
The buntal fibers were first brought to the late Dolores Maniquis who became fascinated and experimented with it,
softening the fibers using a heavy wooden roller, who started weaving the pliant fibers into hats, and later experimented
with colors by first bleaching and then dyeing the fibers.
