Kichhiperi Lake
My Trip to Kichu Pelri Lake was amazing.
The fishes came to our hand so they can
eat from there. We were not allowed to feed
them. There were different kinds of fishes. Some
were very small but some were really big. I liked the
only golden fish. The lake was in the shape of Buddha’s
feet. I really could not see the picture but I think I saw a
toe. There were a lot of people there in the lake. Many of
them were feeding the fishes although they were not
allowed to. We had to take off our shoes when we At the lake I felt calm,

At the lake I felt at peace and thrilled at the

same time. The fish in the lake were very
friendly and appeared calm when we tried
to touch them. The whole scene burned an
everlasting image of the peaceful lake.
-
Tenzin,

When I was in the lake, I felt

calm and empty, but the hot,
thin, air that cut through my skin,
distracted me. However, my
sensations really reminded me of
Thailand. When my friends and I
didn’t want to go to school early in
the morning, we always went to the
river and fed the fishes. Lastly, when
I saw a catfish in the lake, I felt like
eating it! That’s one of my favorite fish.
The Khicheopalri Lake was an awesome
The lake and mountains were my friends and peaceful place. The water was so
that I hugged to me in the holy and calm and quiet, we could see fish
friendly place swimming around and struggling to
nibble at the biscuits that were offered
-Nicha, IX by visitors. The fish did not hesitate at all
to come right up to your hand to grab
the food! The lake is known as a holy site
and people say that it is in a shape of
the foot of Guru Rinpoche. It is said that
every single leaf that falls on the lake is
picked up by birds– nature takes care
of cleanliness and hygiene herself.
