Vis Pre-Moot 10 April 2019 Amity Law School, Delhi (GGSIPU) WINNING TEAM LJUBLJANA PRE-MOOT. ‘Ljubljana Arbitration Centre at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia‘The Willem C. Vis Moot presents participants with a unique opportunity to compete against law students from all over the world. As a combined team of six, we were quite excited to represent our Institute in the second largest moot court competition in the world. Although we were strangers at the start, over the next eight months we became deeply familiar with each other's working styles and idiosyncrasies. Our work started in October 2018, post the release of the moot proposition. Ina span of just a few months, we had to master areas of law which were completely foreign to us, and produce five drafts of our written submissions until the deadline. We were fortunate enough to receive a lot of support from our college alumni and coaches: Samarth Madan and Aastha Kulshrestha. the international community in the sphere of arbitration changed for the better. Our hard- work paid off when we reached the Octa-Finals at the largest Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot organised by the International Chamber of Commerce and the Asian International Arbitration Centre at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ‘As amazing as our experience was at the ICC AIAC Pre-Moot, the highlight of our Vis Moot journey was the Ljubljana Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot at the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre in Slovenia, where we were adjudged as the winning team. All in all, the pre-moots helped us in reparation for the next challenge: right after the pre-moot at Slovenia, we would get on a plane to Vienna for the Vis Moot itself and have the best professional experience of our lives.
