“Money makes the world go around”

Although we all use money every day, the nature of functioning of

money seem shrouded in commonplace myths and ancient mysteries. Money
plays a central role in economics today, yet rarely do we come across a serious,
informed discussion of what money really is and what role it plays in the
development of society. Money is remarkable human invention, a mental
symbol, a social organization and a means for the application and transfer of
social power for accomplishment. Money is something that can alter one’s life in
just a matter of seconds. One second, you might be the richest person alive,
and in another, you might be living on a tight budget. Money can tear apart
families, and even build one.

Without money, the entire world would not be living the way it does. We
let money tell us what we can afford and can’t. Money even creates many of
the emotion that humans feel. It can create greed, happiness, and many
others. But why do we let this paper object control our lives? Money shouldn’t
be something that we measure our way of life. Money shouldn’t control how
satisfied or happy someone is. You can be the happiest person alive even if you
don’t have an abundant amount of money. Life should be about true
friendships, family, and happiness; not how much money ones has.

Is someone who has a copious amount of money considered rich and

lives a “perfect” life? I think that technically and stereotypically people think it’s
true. But, I personally think that one can’t be “truly rich” unless they’re happy.
The importance of money in human life is similar to the importance of food for
the body. Just like you can’t live even for a few days without food, you can’t
survive for long without money. The only problem is that money does not come
just like that to any person by any amount of wishing, praying or wanting. You
have to work hard and compete with fellow human beings to earn money as
the supply of money is limited but the demand of money is unlimited.

Hence, money which is a solution of all problems actually becomes

the root of all problems for most people. Money is a big determining factor
when considering everyday options. A lack of money can cause a lot of
difficulties, whereas sufficient funds can benefit your lifestyle in numerous ways.
