ABOUT THE AUTHOR

T he username of the book author, “april_avery”, doesn't really

have a hidden meaning or something special behind it. The author

said that she chose that username sometime around in college when
she was introduced to “Wattpad”, and chose it out for convenience.
The author didn't thought it would mean anything other than a
username to read stories, she didn't imagined that she could be a
writer and the username could be known by many. The author didn't
want to publicized her personal information just like her full name,
that's why her readers is really curious of what kind of person she is;
but from her Wattpad account description she is described as a
perky person, always cheerful and excited about life. She loves
writing comedy too. She is also pretty whimsical and odd, and
doesn't like to do normal things. From the authors “Wordpress”
account she shared that she is suffering from “immune
thrombocytopenia” disorder and “systemic lupus erythematosus”
which is an autoimmune disease. She has 938,000 followers in
Wattpad. Finished writing seven (7) books, and already published
two (2) of her works, which is the "Charm Academy" and "Titan
Academy of Special Abilities". Her motto in life is to "Always Be
Brave". She is April, a 25 years old writer, and a brave soul.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

T he story is based on "NaNoWriMo" or the 50k word novel in 30 days

challenge. It is a non-fantasy story. The story is all about the things that
people are afraid to say. It tackles about how the life of the main character
will be changed because of six strangers that she will met in college. It talks
about how she will get out of the cage her parents made for her, and how
she will face the risks that she made, in order to find her true self, passion
and happiness.

AUTHOR’S PURPOSE
T he author's purpose is to entertain the readers, inform that taking risks is

not bad, and to persuade everyone to be always be brave.

SUMMARY OF THE BOOK:

I sabelle Dizon is from the College of Business Administration, has the identity of

being a straight-A student, and people expect very much of her. The Arcadian, the official
school magazine, composed of 6 members which originally has eleven members, but an
unexpected event came that's why there are only 6 persons left. Pia Marie Mendoza, the
Editor In Chief, Lawrence Mariano, photojournalist, Charlie Alvarez, the Associate Editor,
Andrea Samson, a correspondent, Stephen DelaCruz, layout artist, and lastly Gavin
Nicholo Delos Reyes, the official graphic artist of The Arcadian.

The parents of Isabelle is very against of her joining The Arcadian, but she took risk
to join and hid it from her parents, and that's when she finally met her true self and what
she truly love. As she joined the group, she met six amazing people that changed her life,
they showed what happiness and being free really means, because all this time she was
locked up in the cage that was made by her parents that was filled of high expectations.
She met Gavin, the man that showed him light and encouraged him to be BRAVE enough
to show her true self and her true passion.

They were happy, until Gavin left without bidding goodbye to his friends. The
group was very emotional about it. They looked everywhere just to find Gavin, until his
father told them that Gavin dropped out of school because he was in the hospital
confined because he was suffering from brain tumour. When they arrived at the hospital
they saw Gavin in a wheel chair wearing his black shirt paired with his hospital pants and a
beanie. They were happy because they finally found him. Gavin gave his warmest smile to
them, and that's the thing they really longed for. They were the reason why he was still
fighting, and Isabelle was one of his biggest reasons to live although Gavin was scared of
dying.

The Arcadian went to visit Gavin every weekend.

They went to the hospital rooftop together with Gavin they shouted their dreams,
all of them were filled with happiness and sadness. After they had a great day, Gavin
wanted to rest.

He died 12:30 in the morning.

"Goodnight, see you next weekend", those were his last words.=

PLOT OF THE STORY:

T he plot of the story is when Gavin left without bidding goodbye, everyone
were very much affected. That's why they looked everywhere just to find
Gavin, until his father told them that Gavin dropped out of school because
he was in the hospital confined because he was suffering from brain tumour.
When they arrived at the hospital they saw Gavin in a wheel chair wearing his
black shirt paired with his hospital pants and a beanie. They were happy
because they finally found him. Gavin gave his warmest smile to them, and
that's the thing they really longed for.

RESPONSE:
As a reader I find the story really great, to be honest this story made me
cry for days. It has many life lessons that I can apply to mine. It showed true
friendship, family, happiness and freedom means. It encouraged me to be
always be brave to take risks and to always speak up for yourself. If you are a
person that really likes heavy dramas that makes you cry, I highly
recommend that you read this amazing

story. It is not a waste of time and you'll not regret reading it.
