Suggestions for constructing performance task

4. teachers must demonstrate how to solve the problem for students to be able to understand
the task and what is expected from them.
5. the teacher or facilitator must create or construct clear task direction so that the students can easily
follow that direction step by step in order to achieve the learning outcomes.

6. teacher must explain to students the criteria that will be used in rating their performances

Quantitative

Qualitative

1. Descriptive data based on observations


2. Involves 5 senses
3. See – feel – taste – hear – smell

Analytic rubrics provide specific feedback along several dimensions

Holistic rubrics provide a single score based on overall impression of a students performance on a task

Holistic – Quick Scoring, provides overview of student achievement
