Reaction Paper on the Documentary “The Corporation.

After watching a two-and-a-half-hour documentary about corporation, its history, background and effects

to the world, good and bad. A mixture of emotions has entered my being. But overall, the concepts that

the film discussed were brilliant, it made me feel amazed and scared at the same time. It was as if a

corporation is a real being with real rights, and more than a lifetime to spend. There’s even a part where

people tell what they imagine or think what kind of person a specific name of a corporation. A lot of

known, CEO’s and brokers, professionals, etc. who expressed their opinions about different historic

moments, the concepts, effects, originations which were all connected with people being controlled by

the so called artificial being. The documentary discussed the bits and bits of the definition of a corporation.

It also showed people experiencing dilemma due to some business crises, worse, lives and wellbeing are

even used as collateral damages. Having to unleash the possibilities and powers that a single corporation

can do, is quite scary.

Nevertheless, people created corporations and organizations initially to improve the way of life and not

to do any harm. The reality that people need these developments that we are experiencing nowadays, as

well as our desires and needs push these kinds of organizations and artificial beings be created. To trust

that only few may use these powers undesirably is what made corporations rise. We had to believe and

take some risks as the world revolves and changes happen. For change is inevitable, and life always go on.
