1.

Peter Schutz, the former CEO of Porsche, he said once in a well-articulated way “Hire
character, train skill”. More and more recruiters realise that it’s not all about just having the right
set of skills. Often it seems that the character of a person plays a more important role when
looking for the right person. The focus lies on the applicant’s personality, demeanour, experience,
drive, adaptability, fast learning, problem solving and creative thinking. Specific specialist skills,
knowledge and understanding can be taught and easily be learnt by the person.

If I will be a manager, I would like to hire someone that has a good attiture. The one who can
proved that his/her work ethic and attitude were impeccable, while his/her skills gap could easily
be overcome by providing him/her with tailor-made training. The one who doesn’t has a good
attitude but he/she has a very nice skill would not have needed any further training but his lack
of commitment towards the company and the poor culture fit could have led to several conflicts
and issues in the long run.

Attitude is not really something we can teach someone, either we have it or we don’t have it. If a
candidate needs to be reminded continuously – or even forced – to do things or behave in a
certain way in order to achieve the desired outcome, it is not something that will benefit the
company. It’s therefore much more beneficial to hire people with the right mindset and provide
them with training that helps them to excel in their future tasks. There are still some open
questions regarding the training offered to Steve that would need to be considered

2. I would like to choose 3 points to implement in the practical week below :

1) Creativity
To Let Them Test Their Wings. But the truth is in the practical week, we either let them try to
express their creativity or you will kill their drive and desire to contribute. There are too many
way to develop all level’s creativity for the example make a handicraft for all levels.
2) Complex Problem Solving
To develop complex problem solving skills, in the practical week I would like to implement
something. It might be holding a hotel simulation that this simulation may have a complex case
which means this hotel simulation will develop not only complex problem solving skill but it will
develeop creativity skill, coordinating with other skill and also people management skill.
3) Critical Thinking
Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally, understanding the logical connection
between ideas. To develop critical thinking skill in the practical week is to make a debate
competition between 2 or 3 section for each week.

3. 2. Bad Intern Leadership

in this case its better for us toPractice Empathy. The first step is to consider the external
pressures your manager is under. Remember, most bad bosses are not inherently bad people;
they’re good people with weaknesses that can be exacerbated by the pressure to lead and
deliver results. So it’s important to consider not just how they act but why they’re acting that way.

Switch Your Perspective “Stay positive!” is another cliché piece of career advice you hear time
and time again when you hate your current position. And, I’m trying my best to stay away from
that same tired sentiment. However, I really do believe that a quick shift in your perspective
could make a world of difference for you. instead of looking at each workday as another time
slot when you need to pay your dues and slop your way through, approach it as a chance to
continue refining your skills and conquer new challenges
