The DISOCONT® Tersus (DT-9) controller is the latest feeder
control available from Stock Equipment, the world leader in
gravimetric weigh feeding products. As technology evolves
and the need for innovation increases, Stock continues to
update products in order to provide customers with the most
accurate and reliable weigh feeding technology available.
The DT-9 controller maintains all the functionality of past
feeder controls, but combines those with updated technol-
ogy to provide the new standard in weigh feeding control.
The interactive graphic touch-screen display allows the
operator more control and provides detailed information
about the feeder. A quick glance at the screen provides the
operator with all the essential information necessary to as-
sure feeder efficiency and accurate calibration. The display
shows a graphical representation of the feeder in operation
and details pertaining to the feedrate, setpoint, belt speed,
belt load and the total weight of the material.
Alerts appear on screen at the occurrence of important
events such as pluggages or when maintenance is required.
Service dates are scheduled into the system to display an
alert when regular maintenance is required. Trend graphs
are also supported on the control, allowing the user to ob-
serve detailed operational information over time.

previous Stock controllers. The DT-9 supports many of the
modern communications systems that new power plants
have begun to adopt. Because fieldbus communication tech-
nologies are becoming more prevalent in the plant setting,
the DT-9 has been designed to accommodate these innova-
tions. By using systems such as Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus
or DeviceNet, plants can put their equipment on a network
and avoid costly, individual wire runs. This allows for more
information to be available directly to the control room or
even for remote diagnostics.
Two control boards, each with their own processors provide
added capability. Incorporated EasyServe software allows plant
personnel to use their laptops to configure, troubleshoot, back-
up and restore feeder configurations.
The new design is also more flexible, allowing the inputs

and outputs to be more configurable without making
changes to existing cabinets. This allows individual plants
to customize their feeder control scheme and integrate the
feeder with auxiliary equipment and sensors.
