11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Product Toxicity Toxicological testing of a similar product has been undertaken and found to be:
Oral LD50: >15 mL/kg (weanling rats).
Dermal LD50 (rat): >5000mg/kg
Inhalation LC50 (rat) 4 hours: >5ml/L
Eye irritancy (rabbit): Irritant

Clinical testing of a similar product has been undertaken which indicate that the
product is not irritating to the skin.

Clinical studies using 0.24% active in a similar product showed no potential to


cause contact sensitisation.

No reproductive, mutagenic or carcinogenic studies have been carried out using


this product or a similar product but studies have been performed using the
active component, chloroxylenol. The results of these studies showed no
evidence of potential of reproductive, mutagenic or carcinogenic.

Component Toxicity The hazard identifications in Section 2 were derived from the known effects of
the individual ingredients and their concentrations in the product.

indicate that there is no evidence of adverse effects.
