Trade

It consists of the distribution, sale, purchase, marketing and supply of information

on products or services through the Internet. Basically, this network allows any
potential customer to access your products and services from anywhere, at any time
of the day. For this reason if it says that with its implementation, your sales grow
and, therefore, your income too.
Features
 1. Ubiquity
In traditional commerce, a market is a physical place we go to buy or sell. In
electronic commerce we can do it from anywhere, at any time.
 2. Global reach
Technology extends beyond national boundaries, around the earth.
 3. Standards
Internet standards are worldwide. This decreases market entry costs for businesses
and also reduces the search effort on the part of consumers.
The ease of comparing prices, product descriptions, suppliers, delivery times is
presented.
 4. Multimedia On the Web
Compared to traditional marketing, it is now possible to add more wealth to
documents at a virtually no cost color, video, audio, text, images.
 5. Interactivity
Unlike most traditional media (except, to some extent, the telephone), electronic
commerce allows both-way communication between the merchant and the
consumer.
 6. Density of information
It is the quantity and quality of the information available to all market participants.
In e-commerce it increases dramatically, there is an increase in real, effective
competition.
 7. Customization
Electronic commerce allows you to
customize the information to be
displayed to the consumer, show your
name, advertise items based on your
interests or previous purchases, etc.
Benefits for companies of having an online store
 Global reach: electronic commerce allows to eliminate geographical borders
at low cost and quickly.
 Cost reduction: the implementation of an electronic store is much smaller
than the implementation of a physical store.
 The business is always available: e-commerce solutions allow availability 7
days a week, 24 hours a day at a low cost
Benefits for the ecommerce society
 Pollution decreases: e-commerce prevents consumers from traveling to
physical stores, thereby reducing traffic and pollution.
 Increase coverage: virtual services allow more services to reach poor people.
 Improved standard of living: the purchase of products and services at a lower
price generates a better standard of living in people.
 Increase access: it allows
people in rural areas to have access
to products that are not available in
their geographical location.
E-commerce systems
 E-commerce platforms unify,
scale and maintain core business
processes, such as the sale of
products and services facing the
front, and the background functions
to manage the inventory and order
history of customers.
 Depending on the need of the
business, security and growth
potential, an e-commerce platform can be open source or paid, and
implemented either at the company's local facilities or in the cloud.
Why use an e-commerce platform?
 Whether you are expanding a physical store, looking to change solutions, or
even start a business from scratch, your choice of e-commerce platform has a
great impact on the profitability and stability of your business.
 The only real alternatives to using an electronic commerce platform are:
 Build a system from scratch, which is out of the question for most companies,
due to its cost.
 Outsource sales, which is not an option if you are looking to build and grow a
scalable business, even a small one.

How will my business benefit?

In addition to the scalability and
protection of your data safely, e-
commerce platforms, whether hosted
on the premises or in the cloud, offer a
handful of operational benefits and
commercial tools. These include:
 A product management package
 Commercialization
 Prices
 Promotions
 Search capabilities
 The ability to customize sales and services to your liking
