The document discusses the constitutions of the Philippines throughout history. It summarizes the key details of the 1899 Malolos Constitution, the 1935 Constitution, the 1943 Constitution, the 1973 Constitution, and the current 1987 Constitution. It notes that while the 1987 Constitution is not perfect, as a student the author believes it is a good document, and that the issues lie not with the Constitution itself but with its implementation and the leaders/legislators, and that improvements could better address current issues rather than replacing it entirely.

Instructor Being a Filipino, it is important for me to express what I feel and need to see and understand in our country and I also wanted my voice to be heard in terms of political issues. It would be nice to live freely and practice sovereignty in your own country. The hope of our country men is dependent on our dedicated leaders. The law dividing the Philippines into three regions, namely (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao), each constituting an independent state and vesting in a central government matter of foreign relation, national defence and national taxation is unconstitutional. First, it violates Article 1, which guarantees the integrity of the national territory of the Philippines because it divided into three regions. Second, it violates Section 1, article 2 of the constitution, which provides for the establishment of democratic and republic States by replacing it with three States organized as a confederation. Third, it violates Section 22, article 2 of the constitution which while recognizing and promoting the rights of indigenous cultural communities, provides for national unity and development. The sovereign geopolitical entity called the Philippines as a federal republic. The comparison of the different constitution of the Philippines are the sovereign Filipino people imploring the aid of almighty God in order to build and establish a government that shall embody our ideals and aspirations, promote the general welfare, secure ourselves and posterity the blessings of democracy under the rule of law and a regime of justice, peace, liberty and equality, do ordain and promulgate this constitution. The 1899 Malolos Constitution approved by the Malolos Congress on November 29, 1898, draft returned by president Aguinaldo on December 1, 1898 for amendments, which the congress refused, approved by the president Aguinaldo on December 23, 1898, formally adopted by the Malolos Congress on january20, 1899, promulgated by the president Emilio Aguinaldo on January 21, 1899.the 1935 as approved by the 1934 Constitutional convention on February 8, 1935, certified by the President of the United States on March25, 1935 and ratified by plebiscite on May 14, 1935. The 1943 Constitution; as approved by the preparatory committee on the Philippine Independence, September 4, 1943 and ratified by the KALIBAPI convention, September 7, 1943. The !973 Constitution draft presented to president Marcos by the 1971 Constitutional Convention on December 1, 1972: deemed ratified by Citizens’ Assemblies held from January 10 to 15, 1973, proclaimed in force by Proclamation by President Marcos, January 17, 1973. The present Constitution of the Philippines approved by the 1986 Constitutional Commission on October 12, 1986, the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines was presented to President Corazon C. Aquino on Oct. 15, 1986. It was ratified on February 2 1987 by a plebiscite. It was proclaimed in force on February 11, 1987 As a student, I think, the 1987 Constitution is not perfect but it’s a good document, and I believe that it’s not the Constitution but it’s the leaders or legislator. Constitution needs improvement to better address the situation of Filipinos todays, and not by having a new one.
