Best restaurants in Antibes-Juan

Nice, Cannes and surroundings:
Here are our favorite restaurants in Antibes-Juan les Pins which we really recommend trying out – we
never cease to be surprised by the high quality of eateries in this city - and we are still discovering
new, awesome restaurants despite living and dining in the area for more than 10 years now .

Important notice: you need to make reservation in advance as these are poplar places, and particularly
so in July/August when it can get really crazy – You have the number now so just call ahead and you
are good!

The "Top list” in Antibes-Juan

les Pins":

Le Figuier de Saint-Esprit
rue Saint-Esprit, Antibes
T: 04 93 34 50 12,14
www.christianmorisset.fr.

Our favorite since it opened on the rampage next to the Picasso museum in late 2007. Insanely good,
and relatively affordable (3 course menu about €60, with wine €80) and
exclusive food prepared by the reputed star chef Christian Morisset who
delivers the goods along with his sons and wife.

Awarded with 1 star in Michelin guide, deservedly so. Valet parking

available, which is a big plus if you have a car - fairly relaxed atmosphere,
but if you have young kids probably better to choose something else

Le Michelangelo
3 rue des Cordiers, Antibes
T : 04 93 34 04 47
info@lemichelangelo-mamo.com & www.lemichelangelo-mamo.com/venir.htm.

Surely best Italian restaurant in town - and Chef Mamo is an attraction on his own. Famous celebrity
spot, particularly during the Cannes-festival, but really this is an informal and cosy place – and very
popular. Really good authentic pasta (try the one with truffles if you want a real treat) and the Pizza de
Parme is amazing – for meat lovers, there are some very special treats as well. A huge outdoor
garden opens up in the summer when it’s practical to bring the kids as well.

Sapori d'Italia
14 boulevard Maréchal Leclerc, Antibes
T: 04 93 34 12 27

Nice location with beautiful views towards the sea and Cap d’Antibes – but, this place is really about
the “best pasta there is” and the “family-friendly” service and atmosphere. The menu is dominated by
pasta which is just amazingly good. Simple décor inside, but who cares about that – this is authentic
stuff! A good place to bring the kids as well. Recommended as a top restaurant in Antibes by
Tripadvisor – another reason why this place is always crowded.

Royal Beach
16 Blvd MAR LECLERC, Antibes
T: 04 9367 1406
http://www.hotelroyal-antibes.com/royal-beach

Best beach restaurant and private beach in Antibes. Enjoy the excellent Italian-inspired food and
service offered by the exceptionally nice owner Gilles and his crew - Bertrand, Sebastian, Bobby and
the others really strive to give you the best time. Beautifully located with nice views from the terrace
and pier, also a nice lounge section where you can enjoy
refreshments all day and in the evening.

Enoteca
Rue Aubernon, Antibes
T: 04 93 34 03 90

This is the happening restaurant-bar in Old Antibes with

lots of energy and so, so friendly service by Christian at
the bar – he is actually a very good friend of us, so tell
Christian hi from Gry and Henrik and he will treat you
especially good. Strategically placed a few steps from the
ramparts. The cool wine bar facing the street is really
where you want to be – you can try some snacks (serano ham is awesome) or even a full meal if you
like. Next door there is also a vaulted dining room for formal dining if you prefer that. The pasta with
truffles and the cote de beuf is really top notch quality.

L’Armoise
2 r. de la Tourraque, Antibes
T : 04 92 94 96 13
kaparrinello@otmail.fr

Really tiny resto next to the Provencal market - only 6 tables so

reservation is crucial. Try out the delicious 3-course menu for €40,
which is a bargain for such high quality. You can choose according
to your preferences from the blackboard menu, which is always
inspired by fresh produce from the market next-door. Recently
recommended by Michelin guide due to remarkably good value for
money.

La Tour Antique
4 r. de la Tourraque, Antibes
T : 04 93 34 48 69
http://www.latourantique.com/

Next door to L’Armoise, which also offers a 3-course menu around €35, small and cozy atmosphere
although quality doesn’t quite match that of l’Armoise.

Le Comptoir
1 r. de la Tourraque, Antibes
T : 04 93 95 24 86

Another tiny resto, just a few meters from L’Armoise as well.

Same concept with an appealing black board menu from where
you can choose a 3-course menu for around €35. Top quality,
exciting food and a slight mix of French cuisine with Asian
flavors.

Hotel Belles Rives

Bd E. Baudoin, Juan les Pins
T : 04 93 61 02 79
www.bellesrives.com.

The most amazing terrace you can think of, particularly during
sunset with awesome views of the whole bay of Juan les Pins
towards Cannes. No place to take your kids (too expensive for
that) but your darling will adore you if you take her/him on a date
here. By the way, you could also sneak in for a drink at the
terrace before dinner – absolutely worth a try if you don’t want the “whole package”.

Cafe Marianne
La Pinede, Avenue Gallice, Juan les Pins
T : 04 93 61 08 70
www.hotel-juana.com

Beautiful terrace inside Hotel Juana next to the La Pinede park in Juan. In the old times, used to be a
2 star resto here but it is now a more informal and affordable place (lunch menu €19 and dinner menu
€35). The calm terrace garden is still the same as in the heydays, which is why this is really a hidden
jewel. Have the best selection of deserts which you check out in a glass display – worth the trip alone!

Oscar
8 rue Rostan, Antibes
T: 04 93 34 90 14
www.oscars-antibes.com

Long been a favorite with Michelin (Bib Gourmand good value rating) with excellent food and menus
featuring Italian Provencal cuisine. Most popular amongst the “little older people”.

Les Vieux Murs
Promenade Amiral de Grasse, Antibes
T: 04 93 34 06 73
www.lesvieuxmurs.com

Beautifully situated by the remparts and next to the Picasso museum, book in advance for a window or
terrace table with amazing views of the sea and the Cap. Valet parking available.

Le Vesuvio
3, Avenue Georges Gallice, Juan les Pins
T: 04 93 61 21 47

Our favourite Pizza place in Juan, with an excellent situation in the ”Carrefour de Joie”. Reasonable
and good service and busting with energy in the summertime. Great for families!

“Beach restaurants” in Juan les Pins are a “must”, most are very nice for lunch as well as
for dinner in the moonlight, lovely atmosphere and family-friendly. Try out Ruban Bleu or La Douce!

Perroquet
La Pinede, Avenue G. Gallice, Juan les Pins
T: 04 93 61 02 20

In the La Pinède park, long recognized by Michelin guide for excellent food, although the décor and
setting is a little out of style. Family-friendly.

Les Pêcheurs
10 Blvd Maréchal Juin, Cap d'Antibes/Juan Les Pins
T : 04 9293 1330
www.lespecheurs-lecap.com

Magnificent terrace facing the Cannes Bay – expensive though, particularly after it got a Michelin star.

Eden Roc
at the tip of Cap d'Antibes in the famous Hotel de Cap
T: 04 93 61 39 01
www.hotel-du-cap-eden-roc.com

Crowded by movie stars during the Cannes festival, when you won´t get in. Apart from then, why not
try out a cool lunch in the most luxurious surroundings you can think of. Yes, it is expensive, but you
don’t have to use your whole budget…

Suggestions for Nice:

La Petite Maison
3 Rue de L'Opera
T: 04 93 92 59 59

Good food, but first and foremost a highly interesting atmosphere and clientele in this vieux Nice
restaurant. The owner is special as well so do not be late and be uber polite. The reward: a truly
special experience if you manage to get in. Good for lunch as well as romantic dining. «Tous célèbres
ici » according to their marketing – anyways, President Sarkozy always put aside time for a visit
whenever in town.
