General Comments and Issues  Its delivery

Encountered  Trainers/Facilitators
It is more than half of the percentage of a successful
training calls for the best Resource Speakers/ Trainers/
Facilitators. The recently concluded midyear in-service training
described by the participants through a Focused Group Discussion
and online evaluation. Most of the participants said that they find
the midyear INSET 2019 a helpful tool in teaching least learned
skills in SHS Mathematics. The Facilitators were equipped enough
of the valuable knowledge and information that the participants
would like to know. All of their questions related to the topics
discussed were answered and some confusions were clarified.
They referred the training, as a whole, as an eye opener especially
for the participants who are not Mathematics major and for those
who have not been teaching Mathematics for a long time.

 Participants
The participants were actively participating. They
have shown eagerness to grasp the ideas and information shared
by the facilitators. They came on time and purposely participated
the tasks and complied the activities given.

 Content of Program
This training-workshop enlightens the mind of the
participants on the different least learned competencies of SHS
Mathematics. It also gives them the idea as to the techniques on
how to deliver/discuss the least learned competencies. It awakens
them further on the challenge of teaching these competencies in
their respective classes. The topics served as a refresher to all
participants.

The following topics are delivered, to wit:

- Functions
- Business Mathematics
- Logic
- Probability Distribution
- Normal Distribution
- Sample and Sampling Techniques
- Estimating Parameters
- Statistical Tests and Hypothesis Testing

 Delivery Strategies

The Program Management Team convened together
with the resource speakers to prepare for the session guides and
their respective presentations.

 Training Materials
The training materials were not available during the
breakout sessions. However, the officer of the day and class
manager provided the materials for the SHS class thus the training
went smooth and materials were readily available for use.

 Its Management
 Prior to delivery
The Program Management Team, headed by the
Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Arden D. Monisit, Asst.
Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Faustino N. Toradio and Dr.
Pedrito S. Ocba Jr, Senior Education Program Specialist of HRD, Dr.
Maria Lourdes Ipong, Chief Supervisor CID, together with the HRD
coordinators, school heads and facilitators conducted briefing to
the facilitators to prepare the essentials for the training proper.
These essentials include: PowerPoint presentations, materials per
topic, schedule of delivery, training matrix schedule, PMT
assignments, etc.

 During the training proper

The Human Resource Division of Schools Governance
and Operations Division, Curriculum Implementation Division,
together with the HRD coordinators, facilitators, and school heads,
managed the conduct of the training/workshop.

During the daily preliminaries, the participants were

enjoined in the Management of Learning (MOL) in sharing insights
and learnings drawn from the preceding sessions.

The facilitators, the officers of the day and class

managers, together with the HRD coordinators and school heads
conducted debriefing sessions every after the last session of the
day.
 The food was served in packed lunch for easy distribution
and disposal. With respect to the participants evaluation, majority
of them agreed that the food was of satisfactory quality, sufficient
in quantity, has good variety, generally healthy, and was served on
time. It was accompanied with a bottled water which was very
refreshing for a very hot day. For the snacks, it was assigned by
school. Most feedback was they prefer having uniformed snacks for
all schools rather than having it by schools.
