ASSIGNMENT 2 – EMG 2105 (Due 13th February 2019)

Fig Q1 shows parts of a pulley in first angle ORTHOGRAPHIC projection. The bracket provides

support, the axle bolt holds the pulley and is fastened to the bracket by nut and washer. The bushes are

inserted between the axle bolt and the pulley to reduce friction. The basic sizes of the parts are given and

assembly tolerances are ignored. Include a hex nut of specification M16 x 1.5 in your assembly drawing.

Assemble the parts of the pulley shown and draw the following views:

a) Full sectional view from the front, with the cutting plane passing through B-B [15 mks]

b) The END VIEW from direction H without the hidden details and showing the nut. [7 mks]

c) Include a parts list [4 mks]

d) Include a suitable title block, with the title of the assembly [4 mks]
