Summary of My Experience

It’s been two weeks since I started my On-The-Job Training at Hotel Stella in
Capitol Site, Cebu City. Far from being a student, my daily routine has been
changed into something unusual for me. I have to wake up early in the
morning, prepare myself for the long day ahead, and give out the best upon
my working hours. I will be working here for 500 hours and within those five
to six days I already learned a lot of things, more than what I expected.

I came to realize the importance of on-the-job training to a students’

life. Aside from the training that I got, it’s the experience and learning that I
acquired and will be gaining for the upcoming days which made it more
essential. It was 16th of December where I started my OJT. I was so
nervous on that day because it’s my first time to work on a hotel. I know
that some of the students are already has an experiences (part time job)
when it comes to work, unlike me. I don’t know what work is waiting for me
there.

On my first few weeks all I ever complain is how tiresome to stand for
several hours when you’re not used to that and this makes me so drained for
the next day but I know I can accomplish this but at the end of the day it
gives me more knowledge and skills to apply it sooner when I’ll be already
working.
