“Education is not the amount of
information that is put into your brain
and runs riot there, undigested all your
life. We must have life-building, man-
making, character making, assimilation
of ideas. If you have assimilated five
ideas and made them your life and
character, you have more education
than any man who has got by heart a
whole library. If education were identical
with information, the libraries would
be the greatest sages in the world and
encyclopaedias the rishis.”

As the destiny ordained under a silver oak tree at ‘Advait Ashram’ in Mayawati

Swamiji’s lips in the balmy aroma of the dense pine and fir forest and he almost

One of the greatest lessons we imbibe at VIPS is to pay as much attention ASCI, Hyderabad
to the means of work as to its end. Our collective focus is on classroom SPJIMR, Mumbai
teaching along with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, which
Fellow, Manchester Business School
fosters the holistic growth of our students. With the means all right, the end
does flow, enabling our students to be placed in fields of success and might.
Following the precepts of Swami Vivekananda, we ardently believe in the fact
that ‘doing work is not religion, but done rightly leads to freedom.’ It is this
freedom which enshrines character and navigates intellect to blossom into
comprehensive learning. All of this is carefully monitored through arduous
discipline and impeccable accountability.
I wish each one of you a very productive academic session at VIPS.
