WELCOME TO THE 2009 LEEDS SOFTBALL

TOURNAMENT

Dear Captain,

Thank you for entering our tournament this year! We’re packed to the rafters with
teams so it should be a great event! We hope you have a fantastic time here in Leeds
and we wish you every success in the competition.

This pack contains a wealth of useful information for you including schedule, pitch
map, local amenities, etc.

We hope you’ll come to the do tonight which is at the West Park Bramhope clubhouse
that you’ll be in and out of all day, and we hope that the hangovers aren’t too horrific
on Sunday morning!

If you need anything that we’ve not covered, please see the helpful people on
Tournament Control.

Thanks again, and good luck

Tournament Makeup
The teams will be split into 2 groups, based loosely on geographic location of home
leagues so long distance travellers can start at 10 on the Saturday. The initial groups
will play a round-robin competition throughout Saturday and on Sunday morning, the
results of which will determine whether they are in the cup or the plate. The cup and
plate competitions will then play a knock-out competition, with placing games for
knocked out teams where space allows. Both finals will be played to 7 innings, so the
cup final will delay start until after the plate final has finished.

We’ve bought some shiny silverware for the winners, plus there are some
very special hand-crafted trophies for the runners up, which you may
remember from last year, and male and female MVP awards will be made so
please stick around for the prize giving! If you can’t stand the weather, the
bar will be open until after the presentations!
