Hedge Accounting

Figure 1: Detail Log for the Calculation Rule of Cost of Hedging Reserve (TC TPM100)

The calculation rule for Cost of Hedging Reserve is determined when the designation business
transaction is released using Transaction Code TPM120.
Once the designation business transaction has been fixed, the calculation rule and its protocol
is stored and displayed in the hedging Relationship on tabstrip Hedging Relationship Detail.
After reversal of the designation, the calculation rule and its protocol are deleted from the
Hedging Relationship.

Unit 1: Treasury Management

Transaction TPM104 enables the user to reprocess failed FX Forward, FX Swap or FX Zero
Cost Collar transactions. Additionally the user can select one or more transactions for
reprocessing.
Using a filter for Company Code, Valuation Area and Transaction Number, the transaction
provides an overview list of the errors.
With the filter option Due Date, it is possible to narrow down the result list to only display
Transaction with a greater or equal value date.
You can choose a predefined display variant using the field Layout.

Figure 3: Dedesignation after Balance Sheet Recognition Date

The system creates corresponding Update Types in case of a dedesignation after balance
sheet recognition date to be able to reset the reclassified amounts at Balance Sheet
Recognition Date and repost them according to the replacement logic for 'Immediate
Reclassification at Dedesignation' date.

Figure 8: De-designation after Balance Sheet Recognition Date

An Update Type replacement logic is implemented to be able to post an amount of the same
component to different accounts: The standard Update Type which is determined for
Reclassification Postings can be replaced to achieve deviating postings.
It is possible to trigger the replacement depending on the following conditions:
● Reclassification after Balance Sheet Recognition: Update Types of reclassification flows
that are created after the Balance Sheet Recognition Date are replaced
● Immediate Reclassification at De-designation: Update Types of reclassification flows that
are created due to a premature de-designation are replaced

If a De-designation Request is triggered after the Balance Sheet Recognition Date, a special
case is considered:
● Amounts which have already been reclassified at balance sheet recognition date need to
be reset and posted to the P/L account relevant for premature de-designations.
