Purpose
To explore the health status of Indigenous Australians and suggest possible future directions to create social justice.

Description of Assessment
Within written (maximum of 1000 words) or multimodal form (maximum of 6 minutes), complete the following:

 Utilising primary and secondary research and data, analyse the holistic health status of Indigenous Australians
(consider collating, quoting and graphing your findings and making explicit connections to and drawing
conclusions from these). Discuss:
o Common health problems and illnesses
o Wellbeing status

 Investigate and analyse (strengths and weaknesses) strategies and initiatives that have or are currently being
done by individuals, communities and or governments to improve Indigenous health

 Acknowledging the improvements community sectors need to make, suggest future recommendations for
education and health promotion in Australia in order to establish social justice (consider integrating the
relevant principles of social justice)
