B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson Movie Lines Hugot:

Present via video clips the different famous movie lines and
let the students to realize the following, to wit:

 Identify the title of the movie.

 Analyze the different goals of communication based
on their observation.

1. Discuss the definition of communication to the students.
2. Ask the students for different instances of communication
to the students.
3. Present different ways of saying a message to the students
using different means.

Think-Pair-Share-Post:
Think of the goals of communication and share it with a
partner. Then post on the board ideas from your discussion
using sticky notes.

Point for Reflection:
Ask the students about ways they can apply what they
learned in today’s lesson in their school and respective
communities.

Give a summary of the session using a concept map.

Situational Analysis
Give the students scenarios of communication and make
them determine the elements of communication within the
given scenarios involved.

and determine what principle of communication gets
utilized by the given scenarios.
Scenario 1: Your mother got angry because you
came home late without communication.
Scenario 2: You broke up with your
girlfriend/bestfriend.

Guide Questions:
1. What are the specific conversation in your
scene that conveys the different principles of
communication?
2. Which principles show conversation in your
scene that depicts the different principles of
communications?

3. How did you determine the principles of

communication in each conversation you had?

 Make the students provide samples of scenarios for
the students and let them analyze the principles of
communication and apply features of communication
if there are breakdowns.
