WHERE’S DWAIN?
Lingenfelter Goes Into Hiding Amid More Questions About Membership Scandal

Yesterday, with more questions emerging about the phony membership scandal
and one of the other NDP leadership candidates calling for his resignation, Dwain
Lingenfelter was nowhere to be found and refused to return media calls.

Saskatchewan Party MLA Dustin Duncan said that’s because Lingenfelter’s story
about the phony memberships doesn’t make any sense.

“According to Lingenfelter, this entire membership scandal is the doing of one

mystery volunteer,” Duncan said. “This one volunteer single-handedly signed up
nearly 20 per cent of all the memberships the Lingenfelter campaign sold in the
entire province.”

“This one volunteer then paid for these memberships by spending 20 per cent of
all the donations the Lingenfelter campaign has collected. And this one volunteer
did all of this without anyone else in the entire campaign knowing it.”

“That story just doesn’t pass the smell test.”

Duncan said both Lingenfelter and the mystery volunteer both need to come
forward and start answering some questions.

“Dwain Lingenfelter wants to be Premier of the province, and yet when he’s asked
to explain a major scandal in his own campaign, he runs away and hides,” Duncan
said.
