WEEKLY REPORT
WEEK 1 (4th March 2019 - 9th March 2019)

DAY 1

OBJECTIVE – To get information about the kind of products, Butterfly Edufield is selling in
the market & to gain knowledge about those products in detail by performing all the activities
involved in those kits.

For the same, we were provided with different product kits of different grades namely,

 Kit 1(Magnetic Properties)


 Kit 2(Air & its properties)
 Kit 3(Pressure, force & Area)

We were asked to perform all the activities in those respective kits & at the end of the day, have
to give a presentation about those activities to our respective mentor.

I worked on Kit 3, which deals with the basic concepts of Pressure, force & area. The activities
involved in this product kit gave me an insight about the relationship between pressure, force &
area through some real life experiments & implementation of the theoretical concepts of the
same. After performing all the activities, I gave a presentation in front of our mentor where he
gave some important feedback regarding how I have to pitch the products to our clients.

DAY 2

OBJECTIVE – To create a database of the different target market segments where Butterfly
Edufield is trying to sell its products. We divided the target market in primarily 3 segments viz.
Pre-school/Activity centers, Schools & Gated Communities. Our mentor asked us to divide
the work among our self by working individually on any one of the above 3 segments.

I picked the Pre-school segment & carried out some research in order to find important details
such as Lead name, type of lead, designation of the lead, addresses & location of each preschool
falling in different areas of Hyderabad.
DAY 3

OBJECTIVE - To filter out the previous generated database details on the basis of business
potential of different entities in those areas.

We eliminated those schools/preschools/communities which were falling in areas where the


business opportunity was less than the others. Further Elimination was also done on the basis of
the standard of the respective schools/pre-schools in some areas.

The pricing of our product is such that it majorly caters to the middle to upper class segment of
customers & therefore we decided to concentrate only on the schools/communities which were
capable of buying our stuffs & could easily implement our summer camp program. After all the
process, we came up with a new database where our focus was mainly on premium areas, the
hottest residential, posh & upmarket locality in Hyderabad such as Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills,
Hitech City, Gachibowli, Bowenpally, Manikonda etc. These were also the areas which have
some of the best schools and colleges & some of the finest places to study.

FUNDO SCIENCE SUMMER CAMP


Butterfly Edufield is now organizing a summer camp in the coming months for the students
falling in the age bracket of (5-8) years & (9-13) years respectively. Under this program, students
will get the benefits of Hands on learning which will make learning conceptual & fun.

For the same, over the next few days, we have to work in different groups to pitch this program
to various schools, gated communities along with the kind of products Butterfly Edufield use to
manufacture & sell in the market.

Along with this goal, the other ulterior objective for these visits would be to get the real time
feedbacks, reviews about the products directly from the target customers in order to make the
product better & more appealing.

The next 3 days, we went to different locations in groups/individually pitching the summer camp
program as well as the products to different Pre School & Activity centers in Hyderabad.

At the end of each day, we used to update the whole summary to our mentor about the meetings
conducted that day with the respective heads of that organization and then create plans
accordingly for the next step.
