MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

Procedures for Routine Maintenance


During normal duties, technical officer on shift shall accomplish the following tasks:
I. Check the operational status of all equipment and update the checklist.
II. Routine inspection of all equipment for overheating, leakage, loose hardware, poor electrical
connections and accumulation of dirt.
III. Report evidence of damage, sabotage, theft, or destruction as required, to the head of department.
IV. Ensure that facilities and equipment are clean and orderly at all times. All equipment storage and
workrooms shall be kept clean, and supplies and working equipment stored in a neat and orderly
manner.

Procedures for Unscheduled Interruptions


For unscheduled interruption or failure,
I. The technical officer on shift shall detect failure occurrence through observation on status monitoring
system or through notification by the end.
II. If the was through the monitoring system, the technical officer on shift shall without delay notify the
end user of the facility interruption.
III. The technical officer on shift shall make record of the occurrence in form of a log.
IV. The technical officer on shift shall troubleshoot the occurrence and make effort to restore the
equipment.
V. In case the occurrence persists the technical officer on shift shall escalate to the maintenance personnel
and perform the necessary coordination required to restore the equipment to normal operation.

Action by Maintenance Personnel


Upon discovery, notification of an equipment interruption the maintenance personnel shall:
I. Determine the cause of the interruption.
II. Perform the necessary corrective maintenance activities to restore the facility to normal operation.
III. After the corrective action and equipment restoration, a record of all the activities carried out shall be
made in form of a log.
