5TY.384.20015.1 Technical Requirements:
01. Paint shall be same as painting procedure given by quality department.
02. For manufacturing instruction and Vacuum & Pressure test, refer final assembly drawing.
03. 200 NB pipe support shall be welded from vacuum block location to bottom plate before applying vacuum.
04. Outer Stopper shall be intermittent, 500mm long steel pieces shall be welded and 100mm space provided in
between two pieces. At the rim corners, stopper shall be blended with a suitable radius to maintain the
distance between stoppers.
9 05. After cutting the material; Burr & sharp edges must be grinded off & cleaned.
F 06. After welding, weld area shall be cleaned. F
47 07. Min R10 fillet must be provided inside of the tank. All sharp edges must be rounded. No sharp edges are
permitted inside of the tank.
08. Box stiffener shall be blasted cleaned & full painted from inside before its weld to tank wall.
23 09. For tolerances refer tolerance document ISO 2768 – 2.
10. Lifting bollard and Jacking pad welding shall be DP tested.
11. Earthing plate (drawing code; 8TY.552.S5001.001) welding dimensions can be varied and it shall be welded
17 on nearest rim locking hole and it shall be in-line with cover assembly earthing plate.
12. Ative part center lines shall be marked on rim at all four locations with yellow paint.
13. Matching surfaces of components which are made of SS material like earthing bosses and earthing pads
shall not be painted
27 14. Tapped holes shall be capped to avoid entering of paint in holes.
15. Holes shall be drilled in cover assembly rim matching to lower tank rim holes.

38 17. Before welding inside oil channels, it shall be shot blasted & painted from inside same as tank inside paint
and all channel shall be leak proof.
18. Jacking welding shall be unpainted and covered with protection tapes during transportation.
19. All weld/corners inside the tank shall be smoothly grinded to 10mm radius. All external edges of fabricated
items to be rounded to 3mm radius for better paint adhesion.
02 20. The location of 8TY.100.20015.860 is indicated in Neutral Earthing Arrangement of Final Assembly Drawing.
