meaning based from the connection or association of feelings and emotions.

The class will be divided into 4 groups. Each group will be assigned with different task that
they need to accomplish within the given time.
Group 1 - Word Ticket
Identify the meaning of the underlined words. Color the C ticket if the word is used as
connotation and the D ticket if the word is used as denotation.
Group 2 – Maria Went to Market
Color the denotative plate if the meaning of the underlined word is a denotation and
connotative plate if it is a connotation.
Group 3 - Whispering Words
Read the following words. Tell whether if the given meaning is a denotation or connotation

Choose inside the box the word being referred to, to complete the crossword puzzle.

Maxine is a health conscious girl. She works hard in keeping her body physically fit.
Instead of riding a jeepney, she prefers to walk as her daily exercise. Eating heavy breakfast
in the morning but light meals during lunch and dinner are her routinary diet. Her favorite
foods are vegetables and fruits to keep her heart healthy. Taking enough sleep and being
happy are her important ingredients in achieving a healthy life.
