Film pitch

A documented account of a young man who has been given a second chance at life
and how he struggles to re-adapt to the outside world.

A young man, Ali, average height, mixed race, wearing a full tracksuit and worn out
trainers, is serving his last minutes in juvenile prison, venting his anger and
frustrations out on a punching bag. He is visited by the head warden of the facility to
indicate that his hard time in prison is finally over and he is free to explore the
outside world for the first time in years. As Ali is leaving the prison gates, still in his
worn out tracksuit, he is greeted by a man with a camera, ready to document him re-
adapting to society. To his surprise, he is accepted into his local state school, and
has been offered a second chance in life to genuinely study and gain some
qualifications. Despite a shaky start he establishes himself as a hard working young
man, but no one lets him forget his past, which angers him and makes him bring out
the demons of his past.
