Sixteen years ago, I started a job in housekeeping at the Detroit Metro Airport
Marriott, where I stayed employed for 10 years. After only 2 years of working there, I
decided I needed a change and wanted to further my education to start a career in the
medical field. I have been practicing massage therapy for the past 7 years. I started off my
career at Trupp Transformation Health in Livonia in December 2013 and stayed for almost
5 years before coming to Allen Park Family Chiropractic in March 2018 where I am
currently employed. I received a job offer in March 2014 at the University of Michigan
Hospital in Ann Arbor where I worked for over a year in the massage therapy program,
simultaneously while at my office in Livonia. My ultimate goal is to provide home health
care to patients as a massage and physical therapist.

During the past 15 years, I was employed as a housekeeper while concurrently

completing my Bachelor’s degree requirements at the University of Michigan Dearborn and
a year of training in a certificate program for Massage Therapy at Schoolcraft College. I
received my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences in December 2011 and received my
certificate of completion in Massage Therapy in August 2013. After my certificate I passed
my national licensing exam through NCBTMB on October 30th, 2013, and attained my
massage therapy license through the state of Michigan on November 7th, 2013. In August of
2019 I started attending Baker College of Allen Park for their Physical Therapist Assistant
program, which I anticipate graduating from in December of 2020. I am interested in joining
a professional physical therapy team at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, where I can
continue to develop my clinical experience in order to advance within the profession.
