NOTICE

This is for the information of all students that in tune with the Award Digitization Initiative of
Government of India, students can henceforth access their academic awards from the
National Academic Depository (NAD) portal.
A Brief on NAD:
The Government of India is committed towards bringing administrative and academic
reforms through the use of technology for delivery of efficient services to all Stakeholders.
Towards this end, Government has established a Digital Depository of Academic Awards
known as National Academic Depository (NAD), on the pattern of Securities Depository. The
NAD helps in validating the authenticity of these awards and ensuring their safe storage and
easy retrieval. Maintaining academic awards in a Digital Depository provides benefits to
Educational institutions, Students and Employers by enabling online access and retrieval,
elimination of fraudulent practices such as faking/forging of certificates and mark-sheets and
facilitates validation. NAD is an online web based system with 24x7 access to the
Stakeholders.
Salient Features of NAD:
• Operates in fully online mode

• Allows Academic Institutions to lodge Academic Awards in digital format and

maintains the integrity of the awards lodged in CVL NAD.

• Allows Students to retrieve their lodged academic awards at any time

• Allows Employers and other persons (with consent of the concerned Student) to
verify the authenticity of any Academic Award.

• Maintains the authenticity, integrity and confidentiality of the databases

• Eliminates need for attestation of certificates/true copies.

Keeping the best interest of students in mind, The IIS (Deemed to be University) has
successfully uploaded the academic records of the students.
