Increase in Cost of Living Allowance (DA) payable in Scheduled


Employment under Minimum Wage Notification for the period from
01/04/2020 to 31/03/2021

The Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Government of Karnataka has


computed and published the State Annual Average Consumer Price Index figure
for Industrial Workers for the Calendar year 2019. The Average Annual C.P.I.
figures as published by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics is 7616
[1960=100] points for the year 2019. Thus, there is an increase of 348 points
over and above the Consumer Price Index figure of 2018 which was 7268
points. The Employers in the Scheduled Employment are required to pay
additional Cost of Living Allowance on 348 points commencing from
01/04/2020 to 31/03/2021 as required under the various Minimum Wages
Notifications.

The additional amount of Cost of Living Allowance(otherwise known as Dearness


Allowance -DA) payable for the period 1/4/2020 to 31/3/2021 for different
scheduled employments, over and above what is presently paid is given below:-
