“AGRICULTURE AND FISHERY ARTS IN SHS”

I.KEY STAGE STANDARD


GRADE 11-12
The learner demonstrates specialized technical skills that would enable him/her to obtain NC II.
II.WHAT IS NC II?
A National Certificates awarded by the Technical Skills and Development Authority(TESDA) to a
student who passes the assessment given by the same agency.
A holder of NC II is one who can perform a prescribed range of functions involving known routines and
procedures. He/she has limited choice and complexity of functions and has little accountability.
III.GRADE LEVEL STANDARD
GRADE 11
The learner demonstrates an understanding of the principles in preparing a creative and innovative
business plan as it relates with marketing operations and human resource, and simple accounting and financial
plans to determine the feasibility and viability of the business of his/her technology and vocational
specialization.
GRADE 12
The learner demonstrates an understanding of the principles in the applying the business plan of
his/her choice based on his/her T&VE specialization.

V.AGRI-FISHERY ARTS STRAND is one of the programs under the Technical-Vocational Livelihood track in
senior high school. This strand is designed to provide students with adequate knowledge and skills relating to
agriculture and aquaculture. But, did you know that this strand is not just about farming and fishing? Under
this strand, you will also learn various topics that are connected to other jobs such as food processing, rubber
production, animal production or landscape installation.
• Animal Production- Animal Health Care Management , Poultry-Chicken, Swine
• Crop Production- Agricultural Crops Production, Organic Agriculture, Pest Management, Horticulture
• Landscaping- Landscape Installation and Maintenance,
• Food Processing- Fish Products Packaging,
• Fisheries- Fish Wharf Operation, Slaughtering Operations.
• You will also undergo a Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies(PEC) assessment so that you can
enhance your business and management skills.
