Romeo Juliet Review PDF
This play, Romeo and Juliet, is written by Shakespeare. It’s about two people
named Romeo and Juliet who lived in different towns, or tribes, called the
Capulets, and the Montagues. The Capulets and the Montagues were enemies.
One day, Romeo got bored with his friend, decided to sneak into a party, which
took place in the Capulet’s town. He saw Juliet, who saw Romeo, and instantly
fell in love. But one day, Juliet drank fake poison. Romeo thought Juliet was
actually dead, and drank a real bottle of poison. Juliet woke up, and saw dead
Romeo, and killed herself with a knife.
I think this play is good, mainly because it had audience participation, and it was
funny. I thought it was funny, because the adults acting had funny voices, which
made it more entertaining for children who really hate love stories (like me).
There were also little “teases” like an actor who mentioned that Juliet's hair piece
was sponsored by Tim Hortons. I also think the audience participation was good,
because it made everyone more alert. For example, at the play, when an actor or
actress said “Capulet”, the audience had to say “cappuccino”. Also, the actors had
a student say “please put your hands together for the nearly famous … Dufflebag
Theatre”! Finally, they had a person from the audience act Romeo and another
person acting Juliet. This made the play more fun, because shouting can be fun,
and for some people, introducing and acting is to.
This is what I think about this play. If you are interested in watching this play,
please consider booking a time to watch and/or participate.
