SHS’ PICC, not
“pagsisisi”

After continuous debates, hearings,
and arguments until the implementation
and adaption of the learning system, it is
now time for the graduating year of the
first K12 curriculum batch— but are they
ready?
University of Perpetual Help
System Laguna - Jonelta, known for its
slogan, “the best senior high school of the
south,” is now ready for its graduating
ceremonies to be performed on 2018 at
the infamous Philippine International
Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.
This was announced prior to the actual
start of classes, which is the orientation
proper. The event gathered numerous
comments, particularly one cliché line,
“Road to PICC”
PICC is a convention center home
to different activities and ceremonies.
But it is most famous to cater graduation
ceremonials for different institutions.
That stretch from Biñan City to
Pasay City is not that usual 35 kilometer
road. It is the road to education where
students must learn not only academics
but also moral to travel. Hence from the
slogan, “Character Building is Nation
Building,” these SHS students should
build their own road with character.
That is the edge the university has given
to its students. The road to PICC seems
very hard to journey on.
College applications, scholarships,
and entrance exams, these are the
things SHS students are facing to do,
not to mention inside school activities
regarding academics and other extra
curricular activities. It is really a time
where grade 12 students learn for their
future.
Now these grade 12 students are
the one’s debating, hearing, and arguing
for their path to choose; implementing
change to in and out school activities;
and adapting to “studentloads”. It is now
time for the graduating year of the first
K12 curriculum batch— so buckle up.
