LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

I am very glad to recommend Mr. Prakash H. Vekariya (Enrollment No.: 150010119085) who was my
student during his under graduation in Mechanical Engineering program at A. D. Patel Institute of
Technology, New V. V. Nagar. I got to observe him closely throughout his journey of 4 years during
his bachelor’s in engineering as a Faculty. I have taught him in many subjects, such as Fluid Power
Engineering (2151903) and Renewable Energy (2181910) respectively. I found him to be consistent,
hardworking person, who has a practical and logical approach to his studies.

He has also done his final year project under my supervision. He has done performance enhancement
of solar still using phase change material and has also published a research paper based on it. He initiated
the work with in depth literature review. After developing a good understanding of the work, he started
working on the solar still designing part. He ideated several designs and types of solar still and discussed
their pros and cons in great detail with me and other lab mates. He then experimentally tested the model.
His results were impressive and were highly appreciated by the evaluation committee, which made him
earn outstanding grades. He also showed great diligence in performing lab experiments.

He is committed to his work and is very disciplined in performing all his duties. He demonstrated the
ability to work independently with creativity and enthusiasm. He used to have regular discussions with
me to resolve his questions on the topic and to make his understanding wider and deeper about
contemporary research in the area. These are indicative of the fact that he is there not only to learn from
observation, but to question, challenge and only then accept, a process which I believe is clear
characteristic of a scientific mind.

Considering his determination, enthusiasm and skill, I can positively say that Mr. Prakash H. Vekariya
will make a valuable contribution to any educational community and at University he will strive to
