cultures or BIPOC within my teaching.

I made an effort to attend Professional

American teachers to further understand the
importance of representation in the curriculum

I incorporated authors of many ethnicities

throughout our entire year in Literature instead
of just focusing on them during “Black History

I purchased products from them off Teachers

classroom. Students annotated a packet called
“Hidden Figures” about the first African
American females to work at Nasa. Students
then completed a writing project awarding
these women Time Magazine Person of the Year

I have since expanded our literature selections
to represent more diversity in our protagonists

Summary of Strengths and Areas of Possible Growth

My area of greatest strength is in Domain 1: Fosters a Collaborative Culture to Support Educator Development
and Student Learning. My school administration has recently seen a lot of growth on our staff that has come
from collabotration through professional learning communities. We have grown as a whole because of many of
our teacher leaders and I would like to see this continue. I will continue to mentor, but also learn from these
PLCs.

The area of most needed growth for me is Domain 7: Advocates for Student Learning and the Profession. I
had a hard time even finding examples of my profieincy in any of the subdomains of domain 7. I will bring
this data to my admin and mentor teacher to better serve my school and my students.
