Dear Families of the Choir Enrichment,

We are excited to share that we have organized a field trip to Trinity University on Monday,
February 11th from 11am-2pm. Our trip will consist of a visit to Trinity’s Chamber Choir
rehearsal, under the direction of the university’s Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Gary
Seighman.

Many of our students have never experienced a professional musical performance or rehearsal.
Our school has a firm belief in providing opportunities for our students to explore passions, see
examples of discipline and professionalism in their passions, and see themselves one day as
experts of their own craft.

The Trinity University Chamber Singers rehearse three times a week in a closed rehearsal,
meaning that it is not open to the public. Our students have an exciting opportunity to
experience a collegiate musical setting and will be taking notes on different elements of a
rehearsal, submitting a notes sheet, and having a Question and Answers session with the
conductor and his students.

We hope you will consider sending your child on this exciting field trip opportunity. ​There is no
cost to attend the field trip​. Students may bring cell phones on the trip to capture their own
rehearsal memories. ​The deadline to submit the attached signed permission slips is Friday,
February 8th.​ No permission slips will be accepted after that date.
