Descriptive Research
Defined as a research method that describes the charactheristics of the population or phenomenon that
is being studied. This methodology focuses more on “what” of the research subject rather than the
“why” of the research subject.
Advantages:
-the possibility to observe the phenomenon in a completely natural and unchanged natural environment
-the opportunity to integrate the qualititative and quantitative methods of data collection
Disadvantages
-Research results may reflect certain level of biad due to the absence of statistical test
- The majority of secriotive studies are not repeatable due to theie observational nature
- Descriptive studies are not helpful in identifyng caude behind described phenomenon
