List of Teacher Leader Goals

I intend to develop my Professional Development within my local Physical Educator 


community. 

○ GOAL: Reach out and observe one local Physical Education teacher 
○ RATIONALE: Networking with colleagues in our district and discussing strategies 
that could be beneficial for long-term skill building.  
○ NBPTS: Proposition 5: Teachers are members of learning communities.​ 
○ TLMD: Domain 3. Promoting Professional Learning for Continuous Improvement. 
○ OBJECTIVE: Learn atleast 3 new teaching strategies to utilize in my own subject 
matter. 
○ TEACHER INQUIRY: I will implement an instructional strategy learned from a 
fellow educator into my teaching practice. 

I will develop my curriculum with a focus on Student Assessment  

○ GOAL: Streamline a standards based reporting document that reflects students 


efforts during class time. 
○ RATIONALE: Efforts based grading as opposed to skill based can improve

○ NBPTS:​ Proposition 4: Teachers think systematically about their practices and 
learn from experience. 
○ TLMD: Domain 5. Promoting the Use of Assessments and Data for School and 
District Improvement. 
○ OBJECTIVE: Create a standards based effort grading rubric to collect student 
data. 

I will develop my leadership in Teaching and Learning (In connection with Kindergarten 
Project Based Learning goals) 

○ GOAL: Create a unique learning experience for students to connect with their 
classroom learning. 
○ OBJECTIVE: Create a cross grade-level public product for the kindergarten grade 
level 
○ RATIONALE: Using P.E. as an proortunity to incoporoate multiple subject areas 
(science, ELA, Math)
