Leister Smart Hand Tools
Leister Smart Hand Tools
TRIAC ST & AT look the same but TRIAC AT along with GHIBLI AW have lot more features to offer apart
from digital display. These are SMART hand tools.
Advantages of SMART hand tools over all other TRIAC models (TRIAC ST, S, PID, BT)
1) Operation Voltage can be checked on display at work site
2) Air flow can be controlled to 5 levels in SMART hand tools, whereas TRIAC ST & discontinued
model TRIAC S/PID/BT all have one air flow level (100%)
3) Close loop device, i.e. desired heating level is cross checked & maintained even with voltage
fluctuation
4) Maintenance warning
a. Low voltage warning
b. Tool needs repair
c. Replace defective Heating element
d. Motor maintenance or Motor defective
e. Overheat (auto cool down) –> Check air flow, e.g. clean air filters, check nozzle
5) Auto shutdown function, making sure
a. longer working life for heating element
b. Operator doesn’t have to wait to take lunch/quick short breaks. They can put smart
hand tools on auto shutdown mode, which will first cool down & then shut down TRIAC
AT.
6) Boss Mode: This ensures the operator do not experiment or play with machine unless they have
Boss mode access. In Boss mode, Supervisor can
i. Set range of temperature & Air flow. This restricts the operator to work in the
specified range ensuring weld quality.
ii. Set a specific temperature & air flow level. The operator will be restricted to
work at specified temperature & air flow setting.
Most of the above features except Boss Mode can be seen in demo video
