Determining of friction of 1.5-inch diameter B.I pipe and PVC pipe using
DoE Title
different flowrate
This DoE aims to:
Experimental Design 1) To determine the friction factor of B.I pipe and PVC pipe.
Objectives 2) To improvise sample apparatus to demonstrate the design of
experiment.
Input Factors
Type of liquid Water inside the apparatus
Flow rate The inflow of water from improvise reservoir
Pipe Diameter a chord that runs through the center point of the circle
Output Responses
Head loss The height of the water that produced by the weir with flow rate inside the
apparatus.
Friction factor It is the minimum hump height that can cause the critical depth over the
hump.
