and territory WHS authorities. They include

• Demanding licenses for stipulated activities to ensure those involved are qualified to carry out
such.

• Demanding that employees undergo certain qualification trainings before performing certain
tasks which need such.

• Reporting code of behavior which are in line with the WHS Act.

• National police check.

Guidance:

following in the work place:

• An environment devoid of harm.

• Adequate and well maintained facilities.

• Availability and access to relevant information, instruction and training which would keep both
employees and clients safe.

• Policy and procedure manuals.

Guidance:

include duty of care Workplace regulations concerning the rights and responsibilities of workers
include:

• Using the equipment provided for health or safety purposes appropriately.

• Obey set instruction regarding health or safety at work.

• Comply with any approved policy that applies at the workplace.

• Abide by their duty of care (avoid all acts of omission that put the client or others in harm’s
way).

d) hazardous manual tasks For employees, the following are required for hazardous manual tasks:
• Follow prescribed manual handling procedures.

• Regularly assessing risk identification, assessment and control.

• Reporting foreseen sources of injury.

e) infection control Workplace regulations include:

• Maintaining hand hygiene and cough etiquette.

• Using personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Proper disposal of sharps.

• Integration of safe practices for handling blood, body fluids and secretions.
