As an engineer it is important to be creative and think outside the box.

It gives the ability to

innovate and invent products. An engineer would need it since they are the ones designing the
products. The white capsule, I believe, is built for underwater use. The white shell is to protect
the inside so it might be technology inside. From that I started jumping to conclusion. In the end,
I believe the device is a radar or sonar.

The sonar would be small and easily placed. It has many uses centered around detecting. The
specialty of this is that it can be placed without having to be attached. It can send information far
away. Monitoring wildlife could be one of its use. Since it is small and can be placed
underground to monitor the wildlife population without needing to drastically change the
vegetation or trees in the area. The military could use it to detect enemies. Since it is small it
can be easily dropped underwater or placed underground. It could be used defensively by
placing it on coasts to detect enemies. Or it can be used offensively to detect enemies on the
battlefield disguised as a bomb that was a dud or thrown like a grenade. It can also be used for
rescues by detecting people stuck underground when a mine collapses or a similar situation.
The device can also be used simply for exploring new places since its small it can go into tight
spots and be moved using only your hands.

The devices part could have functions to aid in detection. The shell is to protect the machine
from outside disturbances. The look on the bottom can be to convince that it is a bomb if it's
following the military path. Yet if following the wildlife path then the hole can have an attachment
like a solar panel to keep it powered. The hole could also be a laser to help detect where the
device is. The ring might help the removal of it if put underground by working like a handle. The
ring can be used to attach a rope to keep it from drifting in the water or to lower it down in
caves. The holes on the shell could be a flashlight to aid in rescuing. The bulb on the top could
also be the flashlight. The holes on the shell could also be used to attach poles to keep it firmly
in place. The plastic I assume is made out of eco-friendly material.

In the future radars and sonars would be smaller and more compact. The device would be able
to send information digitally. This removes the need to be at the actual location. By being
smaller it reduces its impact on the environment and takes up less space. It can be placed in
smaller locations, like the rooftops of urban locations. The device would improve our access to
information. If it is really improved then it could be taken to space to observe other planets. The
device gives information which is one of the most important things to further advance.
Information about location can be used to further advance studies in space travel, wildlife
protection, surveillance, meteorology, and cave and underwater exploration.

Information is one of the most important things in life. Information is used to further create new
things and ideas. This device would give more information that benefits us. Yet this is just one of
the explanations for this product, made from information. All engineers create their products
using creativity and information. New inventions and innovation are thought up everyday from
previous knowledge and a spark of creativity. Since it is such a necessary tool, engineers use it
all the time. This prediction is one of the many guesses created by people to explain unknown
things on the exploration of knowledge.

1. Why is it important for engineers to be creative and think outside the box?

It is important for engineers to be creative because that's where new inventions and
innovation comes from. Without it no new products and devices would be made and that
would be pretty boring.

2. What other characteristics do you believe engineers should possess to be successful

problem solvers?

A trait an engineer should maybe have is perseverance because very rarely is

something new created on the first try. Even if it is it can always be upgraded. If an
engineer easily gives up then new things would never be created.
