5 Course The purpose of introduction of this subject is to
Objective 1. develop basic understanding of criminal jurisprudence and
procedural law among students.
2. familiarize the students with crucial aspect of criminal procedural
law relating to plea bargaining, compounding of offence etc.
3. acquaint the students with procedure of trial at sessions court,
warrant case trial, summons case trial, summary trial.
4. to provide knowledge of maintenance provisions, appeal
provisions, procedure of reference and revision etc.

the relation between substantive criminal laws and criminal

CO3: relate the provisions of CrPC with actual criminal court

reference.
CO5: appraise the procedure followed in a criminal trial.
