    SAN LORENZO, CAMARINES NORTE

    San Lorenzo Ruiz is a fifth class municipality in the province of Camarines Norte,
    Philippines. Formerly called Imelda, it was renamed on February 10, 1989 in honor of
    San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint venerated in the Roman Catholic Church,
    canonized on October 18, 1987.
    The municipality has a land area of 119.37 square kilometers or 46.09 square
    miles which constitutes 5.15% of Camarines Norte's total area. Its population as
    determined by the 2015 Census was 14,063. This represented 2.41% of the total
    population of Camarines Norte province, or 0.24% of the overall population of the Bicol
    Region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 118 inhabitants
    per square kilometer or 305 inhabitants per square mile.
    San Lorenzo Ruiz is politically subdivided into 12 barangays.

    Zipline & Tramline/Cable Car
    The longest zipline in the whole bicol region located in barangay Matacong, San
    Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte with 750 meters long. It also have a Tramline/Cable car
    are used for transporting goods like coconut and also for a group of friends and family
    looking for adventure.
    Festivals
    1. Boyuboy Festival-San Lorenzo, Camarines Norte
    This is a week-long celebration that aims to promote agricultural products, most
    especially the Queen pineapple which is abundant in the region. San Lorenzo Ruiz
    is the home to the Queen pineapple which has made Camarines Norte famous.
    The festival also depicts the post-harvest activity as practiced by the locals.
